Welcome to Kala’s Specialty Guitar line. Here you’ll find that none of these guitars are your typical spruce top mahogany dreadnought. We’ve spent a lot of time mulling over how to make our line of guitars stand out from the average offerings in the guitar world and we are proud to have this current line up. Each guitar has a purpose to be convenient, player friendly and extremely enjoyable. Take a look and see which one fits your style best.
The Original U-Bass
They say that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. Well if that is the case, then lately we have been very flattered. We are starting to see imitations of our ground-breaking U-BASS coming to market. Our product, support, marketing, and related activities are well advanced of the imitations.
The Kala Elite
We are using Solid Hawaiian Koa for all of our current offerings. We are using a modern UV finishing process that brings out the unique appearance of each instrument with incredible clarity. The UV finish is sprayed on the thin coats and uses far less material than a typical lacquered instrument. In essence, a UV finish is far less impactful to our environment than other finishes. It also keeps the instrument lightweight while providing a very hard durable finish. The Kala Elite instruments range from understated beauty to graceful appointments.
