KEF’s Reference series speakers have been sweeping audiophiles off their feet since the first model was launched in 1973. Since then the name has become synonymous with outstanding clarity and precision. The Reference series is literally the reference against which high-end audio speakers are judged.
The cornerstone of this series (and of all KEF’s patented speaker technologies) is the 207/2 floorstander, KEF’s flagship loudspeaker. At the 2009 CES international tradeshow in Las Vegas, the 207/2 recieved the prestigious 2008 Product of the Year award from stereophile Magazine. In addition to the acclaimed 207/2, the Reference series also features more compact 205/2 and 203/2 floorstanders, the 201/2 bookshelf speaker, 204/2c and 202/2c center channel speakers, the 206/2ds dipole surround speaker, and the 209 and 208 subwoofers. All are available in a wide range of satin and high-gloss finishes, including Piano Black, American Walnut, Sycamore and Cherry.
